Both of our properties, Casa Viejo and The Upside Down House, have their own private entrance, and while the garden, pool, patio and BBQ area are shared with the owners and any other guests, the atmosphere is relaxed and never crowded. Each cortijo is fully furnished and equipped for self-catering stays, offering comfort, privacy and plenty of space to unwind. It’s a warm and welcoming place where you can enjoy an authentic Spanish cortijo and discover a beautiful, unspoilt corner of Andalucía.
Casa Viejo
Casa Viejo is a romantic studio designed for two, offering a cosy and private hideaway in the heart of the Almería countryside. With its own entrance, bathroom and kitchen, it’s ideal for couples looking to slow down and enjoy a peaceful rural setting. Surrounded by open landscapes, it’s a wonderful base for walking, cycling, painting, photography or simply relaxing, and with no light pollution, the night skies are perfect for stargazing.
The studio is fully air-conditioned and thoughtfully equipped for a comfortable stay, with everything you need to be self-sufficient. Guests have access to the shared garden, pool, patio and BBQ area, which are rarely busy and provide plenty of space to unwind. Sun loungers and outdoor seating make it easy to enjoy the surroundings, while free on-site parking, pet-friendly stays and the option for longer visits add to the flexibility and ease of staying at Casa Viejo.
The Upside Down House
The Upside Down House offers a unique and tranquil escape in the small village of Limaria, surrounded by olive and almond groves and rolling countryside. Its distinctive layout places the bedroom on the lower level and the living area upstairs, creating a bright and comfortable space to relax. It’s perfectly suited to guests who enjoy walking, cycling or simply getting away from everyday life in a calm rural setting.
The house is fully air-conditioned and includes a well-equipped kitchen for easy self-catering, along with a sofa bed for additional guests. Outside, there’s space to dine outdoors, enjoy the BBQ and make use of the shared pool. Free parking is available on the property, pets are welcome, and guests are personally greeted on arrival, making it a warm and welcoming place to stay while exploring this beautiful part of Andalucía.

That was a wonderful stay and we hated to leave!! Very responsive and attentive hosts, always there when we needed them if that was just asking for a recommendation of any kind. The house was bigger than on the pictures, private and we loved it very much, so did our cats. Very authentic vibe, totally fantastic for a long stay, with coziness, comfort and chill temperature in the house, especially when you open windows you don’t even need the cooler! The pool is also bigger than expected, plus different height of the bottom which allows you to swim and replace with it the sea on the work days. The beaches are approximately 40min-1h drive, but the variety impresses! The wifi is also stable and fast for a remote work on the laptop and with the plenty of room in the house you find a comfortable working place easily. For the bookworms you’ll find so many choices for the vacation reading and in English! Recommending and coming back the next time! Thank you for the stay and lovely conversations!
